Computer diagnostics & troubleshooting in Orlando & Central Florida
A computer diagnostic finds out why a PC or laptop crashes, freezes or misbehaves, before anyone replaces a part. We read the crash logs, test each component under real load and separate software faults from hardware ones, so the fix goes where the problem actually is.

How we handle it
The same four steps every time, so you always know what’s next.
- 1
Start with the history
We hear what you’ve seen, then read Event Viewer, Reliability Monitor and any blue-screen crash dumps to see what failed and when.
- 2
Rule out software
We boot a clean test environment that takes Windows, drivers and malware out of the picture. If the problem disappears there, the hardware is probably fine.
- 3
Stress each component
We load the processor, graphics card, memory and drive one at a time while logging temperatures, clock speeds and errors, which gives an intermittent fault the chance to show itself.
- 4
Report, then repair
We walk you through what failed, what tested healthy and what the fix involves. Nothing gets replaced until you say so.
Stress testing: making a hidden fault show up
Many faults only appear under load, so we create that load on purpose, one component at a time:
- Memory: MemTest86 boots from USB and tests RAM outside Windows. A single error is a failure, and testing sticks one at a time finds the bad one.
- Processor: OCCT or Prime95 loads every core while we watch temperatures, clock speeds and hardware error reports.
- Graphics card: OCCT’s 3D and video memory tests show artifacts, driver crashes and overheating.
- Drive: SMART data (reallocated and pending sectors on hard drives, media errors and wear on NVMe SSDs), then a full read test.
One limit worth knowing: a test only catches a fault that happens while it runs. Some intermittent problems need several passes, and a few only appear with your own software, so we also test the way you actually use the machine.
Software or hardware? How we tell
Software faults follow Windows. They vanish in a clean test environment and cluster around one program or driver. The crash dump often names the file responsible, such as a graphics driver.
Hardware faults follow the part. They show up in MemTest86 no matter what’s installed. They leave WHEA hardware error entries in Event Viewer, get worse as the machine heats up, or bring stop codes like WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
Sometimes it’s both. A failing drive corrupts Windows files, so repairing Windows alone never lasts, and replacing the drive without fixing Windows leaves the damage behind. That’s why we don’t stop at the first thing we find.
Test first, then spend
Swapping parts on a hunch gets expensive fast. A new graphics card won’t fix a power supply that sags under load, and reinstalling Windows won’t help if the memory is bad. The fresh install just gets corrupted too.
We don’t sell parts, so we gain nothing from telling you one is bad. We show you what failed, what tested healthy and the readings behind it, so any repair starts from facts. If a fault never shows itself during testing, we’ll say so rather than guess, and tell you what to note down if it happens again.

What does a computer diagnostic check?
A full diagnostic covers the processor, memory, drive health, graphics, temperatures and power, plus Windows itself: drivers, crash logs and malware. The goal is one clear answer about what’s wrong and what it takes to fix.
Can you run PC diagnostics at my home or office?
Yes. Diagnostics can start on-site at your home or office, by appointment. Long tests, such as several passes of a full memory test, can run for hours, so those sometimes happen in our shop.
Why does my computer keep crashing or restarting?
The usual suspects are overheating, failing memory, a weak power supply, a dying drive, or a bad driver or Windows update. Crash logs and stress tests tell those apart, which is why we test before replacing anything.
Can’t I just run a diagnostic tool myself?
You can, and Windows Memory Diagnostic or your laptop maker’s built-in hardware test is a sensible first step. Those quick tests often miss intermittent faults, though, and they can’t tell you whether the cause is software, hardware or both.
