IPad screen repair & tablet screen replacement in Orlando & Central Florida

iPad screen repair means replacing just the cracked glass where the model allows it, or the full display where the layers are bonded together. We do both for iPad, Microsoft Surface and Samsung Galaxy Tab screens, reseal them with fresh adhesive, and test touch edge to edge.

How we handle it

The same four steps every time, so you always know what’s next.

  1. 1

    Identify the exact model

We read the model number, such as the A-number on the back of an iPad or the one under a Surface kickstand. It tells us whether the glass is separate or bonded to the display.

  2. 2

    Check what still works

Before opening anything, we test touch across the whole screen, the display, the Home button, cameras and charging, and note anything that was already faulty.

  3. 3

    Open it safely

A tablet screen is held in with adhesive, not screws. We soften it with controlled heat, separate the glass slowly, and on iPads with a Home button we move your original button across so Touch ID can keep working.

  4. 4

    Reseal and test

Fresh adhesive goes around the frame so the screen sits flush. Then we test touch edge to edge, brightness, Touch ID and charging.

  5. Ready when you are.

Glass only, or the full display?

It depends on the model. Standard iPads, the entry-level line, keep the glass and touch layer separate from the LCD, so a cracked front can often be replaced on its own. iPad Air (2nd generation on), iPad mini (4th generation on) and every iPad Pro use a laminated display: glass, touch layer and screen bonded into one piece, so a crack means a new display assembly.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S models with AMOLED screens are bonded the same way, while some budget Galaxy Tab A models keep the glass separate. On iPads with a Home button, Touch ID is paired to the logic board, so we move your original button to the new glass. We confirm the exact part your model needs before any work starts.

Surface screens are sealed in

A Microsoft Surface Pro or Surface Go screen isn’t held in by screws. It is bonded to the frame with adhesive all the way around, and the laminated display cracks easily if it flexes on the way out. Getting that screen off safely is the delicate part of Microsoft Surface repair: controlled heat to soften the adhesive, thin tools worked slowly around the edge, and care for the cables underneath. The new display then goes in with fresh adhesive, so it sits flush and sealed.

One warning: if your Surface screen is lifting away from the frame on its own, the battery underneath may be swelling. Stop charging it, don’t press the screen back down, and have it checked. A swollen lithium battery is a fire risk, not a cosmetic problem.

A cracked screen that still works

It’s tempting to live with it. Here is what tends to happen:

  • The crack spreads with every bump, press and temperature change.
  • Touch starts failing, with dead zones or phantom taps that open apps on their own.
  • The display underneath gets damaged, which can turn a glass-only repair into a full display replacement.
  • Glass splinters catch fingertips. Clear packing tape over the crack helps until it’s fixed.

On some older tablets, a full display can approach the cost of a newer tablet, especially if the battery is tired too. We’ll tell you that before any work starts, and you decide.

Questions about iPad & tablet screen repair

Still unsure? Call or text (407) 773-0904 and describe what’s happening.

Is it worth fixing a cracked iPad screen?

On most iPads from the last several years, yes. On a much older model, especially one with a tired battery, the repair can approach the cost of a newer iPad, and we’ll tell you honestly before you decide.

Can you replace a Surface Pro screen?

Yes. Surface Pro screens are glued in, so we remove them with controlled heat and fit the new display with fresh adhesive. If the screen is lifting on its own, the battery may be swelling, so stop charging it and have it checked.

Do you repair Samsung Galaxy Tab screens?

Yes. We check whether your model’s glass is bonded to the display, as on AMOLED Tab S models, or separate, then confirm the exact part your model needs.

Will Touch ID still work after the glass is replaced?

It should. Touch ID only works with the original Home button, which is paired to the iPad’s logic board, so we move your button to the new glass rather than replacing it.
